Stunts-Ability's Youth to Responsible Adults Program (YRAP)
Assemblies (K-12)
During our assemblies, David Smith, the first one-armed Hollywood Stuntman, tells his story of growing up with a severe learning disability in addition to his visible physical disability. David's motivationally inspired presentation teaches the students about overcoming obstacles by not succumbing to adversity, regardless of whether those barriers are real or perceived. David inspires the students to look for positive solutions to their own problems as he helps build their self-esteem by emphasizing what they can do and not what they can't.

David plays his stunt demo tape which shows what goes on in stunt classes, films he has worked on, and excerpts from such shows as Entertainment Tonight, The Discovery Channel, and Ripley's Believe It or Not. Smith gives these kids hope and inspires them to accept all who are different. He lets them know that they don't have to be a rocket scientist in order to be successful and happy.

Hands-On (9-12 Grade)
This Hands-On Program is designed for selected students who the school feels will most benefit from this program. This program can be done on campus and can be tailored for a gym class and/or an after school program. This program is designed to have something for kids to do outside of school that is not only fun, but also builds self-esteem, teaches discipline, and gives the kids a place to focus their energy into.

This program is made up of gymnastics, acting, and safety coordination. We give the kids the feeling of what it is like to be on a real Hollywood set. This helps them to understand discipline, safety, and team work; the many things they will need to understand in any job situation for their future.
